About the position

The 2025 Summer Intern-Heavy Civil Project Engineer position at J. Banicki Construction, Inc. offers an opportunity for engineering majors to gain hands-on experience in the heavy civil construction industry. Interns will work under the supervision of a Project Manager, assisting in the execution of complex civil projects while developing their skills in project management and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendents in executing heavy civil projects.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling activities.
• Support the team in maintaining project documentation and reports.
• Help in coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Contribute to safety and quality assurance efforts on site.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous internship or work experience in construction or engineering.
• Familiarity with project management software.
