About the position

We are currently seeking Industrial Engineer interns who will engage in hands-on work that directly contributes to our operational efficiency and overall company culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing the efficiency of manufacturing operations, focusing on personnel, materials, machines, and facilities. This role requires strong leadership abilities, critical thinking, and effective communication skills, with decision-making supported by mentorship from supervisors. Interns will confirm or recommend changes to layouts, labor control, and material control, ensuring optimal operation layouts and accurate methods are developed. The role involves frequent contact with individuals outside the immediate work group, assisting in the creation of operation descriptions and performing vital calculations necessary for studies and changes in labor and material control systems. The position is based onsite, meaning the intern will be expected to report to their assigned plant full-time. Specific physical requirements include the ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections. Interns must be able to promptly respond to safety instructions and alarms, wear personal protective equipment, and work in a loud, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The role also requires physical activities such as bending, twisting, kneeling, and lifting materials weighing up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm or recommend changes to layouts, labor control, and material control.
  • Assist in developing accurate methods and optimum operation layout.
  • Make operation descriptions and perform vital calculations to complete studies and change routines or other systems of labor and material control.
  • Engage in frequent contact with others outside the work group.

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Must be graduating between December 2025 and May 2028.
  • Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the summer months.
  • Willing to work in a plant environment.
