About the position

Responsibilities

  • Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections.
  • Promptly detect and respond to safety instructions, alarms, and signals.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and safety shoes.
  • Work in a loud manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold).
  • Frequently and repetitively bend, twist, kneel, crouch and reach to perform work.
  • Lift or carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds and periodically carry or lift materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasionally sit, climb (including ladders and lifts) and drive vehicles and equipment.

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Business/Management.
  • Must be graduating between December 2025 and May 2028.
  • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months.
  • Willing to work in a plant environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skill ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience.
  • Prior internship experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in field of study, extracurricular activities or service organizations.
  • Experience with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, plastics, resins, paint, electronics, etc.).
  • Exposure to logistics, packaging or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and databases.
  • Knowledge of materials management.
  • Experience with interpreting market data.
  • Exposure to reading blueprints and understanding basic engineering documents.
  • Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability and trust.
