About the position

Major League Soccer (MLS) seeks innovative, talented and passionate students to contribute to the growth of Soccer in North America. The Partnership Marketing department is responsible for proactively managing, supporting, and streamlining assigned corporate partner accounts from the point of a deal closing through campaign execution, and ultimately, renewal. The department oversees accounts across core properties, including Major League Soccer, Leagues Cup, The Mexican National Team and CONCACAF. Located at the League Office Headquarters in New York City, the Summer Intern Program is a 10-week program that runs from June 3rd-August 5th. Interns will be a part of an inclusive culture that encourages teamwork and collaboration, values diversity and promotes creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day communication and tasks with partners.
  • Scheduling and tracking weekly calls.
  • Tracking and oversight of asset delivery for tentpole events (MLS All Star, Leagues Cup, MexTour, Gold Cup).
  • Assist in partner creative approval process with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments (Marketing, Operations, Creative Services, Legal, Consumer Products, etc.) on partner-driven elements or programs and ensure they are communicated and completed successfully.
  • Preparing and delivering of internal and external documents including but not limited to reporting, executive summaries, asset trackers, weekly call agendas and recaps, etc.
  • Additional departments projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate rising senior
  • Recent college graduate
  • Currently enrolled in a post-graduate program
  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Must commit to attend full 10-week program

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish or French a plus

Benefits

  • Hourly salary of $20 based on a 40-hour work week
