About the position

The 2025 Summer Intern - People Services Operations Analyst position at General Motors offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment. This internship is designed for individuals who are passionate about operationalizing new strategies, systems, processes, and technology across the enterprise. As part of the People Services Team within Global Business Solutions, interns will engage in various functions including Finance, HR, and Manufacturing, contributing to the company's vision of zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion. Interns will work in a hybrid setting, reporting to the Detroit Renaissance Center at least three times a week. The role involves interacting cross-functionally with global teams to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance employee experiences. Interns will have the chance to conduct data analysis, identify opportunities for process improvement, and gain exposure to multiple IT systems such as Workday, Kronos, ADP, Power BI, and more. They will also assist in creating transformational project plans and lead employee engagement activities to communicate changes effectively. This internship is not just about gaining experience; it is about contributing to a culture that values diversity and inclusion. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Systems Engineering, HR, Finance, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Must be graduating between December 2025 and June 2026.
  • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months.
