About the position
This internship position is designed for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in urban or transportation planning. The role involves collaboration with a diverse team of professionals in a dynamic work environment, focusing on community engagement and planning documentation. Interns will gain hands-on experience in the planning and design process, contributing to various projects throughout the summer of 2025.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and planning professionals.
- Engage in community and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Assist in the preparation of planning documentation.
- Participate in technical data research and analysis.
Requirements
- Undergraduate pursuing an accredited degree in urban/regional or transportation planning or related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Prior experience or training with ArcGIS.
Nice-to-haves
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design applications.
- Prior experience conducting technical data research and analysis.
- Prior experience or training with 3D visualization programs including SketchUp and Lumion.
