About the position

The Project Engineer Internship at Haleon offers an opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Management to gain hands-on experience in project engineering within a leading consumer healthcare company. Interns will contribute to maintaining equipment, designing manufacturing processes, executing capital projects, and implementing continuous improvement methods. This role is designed to provide valuable insights into the healthcare industry while fostering personal and professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment, processes, facilities, and utilities in a compliant state.
  • Design, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing and packaging processes and equipment.
  • Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Execute capital projects.
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products and processes or reduce costs.
  • Provide technical process support and expertise for the scale-up and/or transfer in of new products and/or process changes.
  • Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
  • Troubleshoot new and existing equipment problems.
  • Review product and equipment designs for manufacturability and completeness.
  • Participate in site-wide priorities and lean initiatives.
  • Coordinate, conduct, and evaluate experiments and trial production batches.
  • Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes and equipment qualification and validation activities.
  • Maintain equipment lifecycle documents and evaluate the need for periodic equipment requalification.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Management strongly preferred.
  • Graduating December 2025 - May 2027.
  • Eligible to work on a full-time basis (40 hours a week) during the internship duration (12 weeks).
  • Eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) guidelines.
  • Ability to report unsafe conditions and hazardous materials releases.
  • Experience with personal protective equipment and safe work procedures.
