About the position

The 2025 Summer Intern: R D (Research & Development) position at PepsiCo is designed for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in Engineering, Food Science, Agriculture, or related fields. This internship aims to provide hands-on experience in product development and innovation within a global team, with the potential for full-time employment upon successful completion. Interns will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and launch new products, contributing to the innovation lifecycle from ideation to product launch.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute innovative products.
• Participate in the product development process including idea generation and prototype development.
• Provide technical expertise throughout the innovation lifecycle from ideation to product launch.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Food Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Must graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree within one year of internship completion.
• Eligible to work in the United States without work authorization sponsorship.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into project goals.
• Proven ability to make significant technical advances utilizing resources.
• Understanding of incorporating business needs into technical decisions.
• Ability to work in laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with data science preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Willingness to travel.
