About the position

As a 2025 Summer Intern in Electrical Engineering, you will be part of a collaborative environment, gaining the skills and experience necessary to set you on the path to a successful future. This internship program is designed for full-time students currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university and recent graduates in North America. These are temporary full-time paid positions that usually run from May through August. Interns will be assigned to various locations in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Iowa, supporting our business in a variety of disciplines. Under general supervision, you will assist in providing technical advice and guidance for designated engineering projects and programs at assigned sites. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Maintenance Division, Process Control, and Automation related systems, assisting in the review, investigation, and development of appropriate recommendations regarding electrical engineering projects, and interacting frequently with internal and external electrical engineering resources. You will also participate in small to medium site construction, expansion, or modification projects, develop a working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations appropriate to your area of assignment, and perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing technical advice and guidance for designated engineering projects and programs at assigned site.

Requirements

  • Full-time student currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university majoring in an appropriate Electrical Engineering discipline or related Engineering field.
  • Recent college graduate having graduated within 12 months prior to internship start date with a degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Possesses strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented.
  • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate core values of honesty, fairness, respect, trust, and integrity.
