Duquesne Light Company (DLC) is seeking enthusiastic and motivated interns for its summer internship program in 2025. Interns will work full-time (40 hours per week) for a duration of 12 weeks, from May to August, and will be compensated for their contributions. Candidates must be full-time, degree-seeking students who have completed their sophomore year and are in good academic standing. The Information Technology (IT) group at DLC plays a crucial role in overseeing and protecting the company's critical information technology systems. The IT team is responsible for ensuring that the best technology is utilized to power the lives of customers and support the needs of employees. Interns in the PC Support team will assist in supporting over 2,000 desktops and laptops, as well as other related equipment. Responsibilities will include receiving and inventorying PC equipment, imaging PCs using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, deploying PCs and cell phones to new hires, and supporting various projects assigned to the PC Support team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations, or other IT-related fields. Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. The work environment will be hybrid, requiring some time in the office and some time working remotely, and candidates must be located in close proximity to Pittsburgh.
