About the position
The Mechanical Engineering Intern position at PACCAR's Peterbilt Motors Company focuses on supporting the Autonomous Vehicle Platform (AVP) Team. The intern will engage in various projects related to the mechanical integration of autonomous systems, contributing to the development of innovative vehicle technologies.
Responsibilities
- Support the EV2 Build process
- Assist in the mechanical integration of autonomous systems affecting cab/sleeper structure
- Contribute to the design and routing of outer body components
- Participate in project reporting and documentation
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related program
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Self-starter with resourcefulness
- Strong professionalism and analytical skills
- Interest in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on tests
