About the position

Trex Company, the world's number one decking and railing brand, is excited to announce its 2025 Summer Internship Program for Electrical Engineering. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program to gain hands-on experience in an industrial environment. Interns will be expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment while working and will have the chance to interact closely with Trex engineers and production operations personnel. This role is designed to provide practical experience in the field of electrical engineering, allowing interns to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting. As an Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for completing AutoCAD work, with a preference for 3D design, focusing on part design and implementation. Additionally, you will conduct equipment reviews and reliability inspections, documenting your findings and assisting engineers with various routine tasks. This internship is not only a chance to develop technical skills but also to understand the operational aspects of a leading company in the outdoor living products industry. Interns will be encouraged to bring their ideas and perspectives to the table, contributing to the innovative culture at Trex. Responsibilities

  • Complete AutoCAD (3D preferred) work for part design and implementation.
  • Conduct equipment review and reliability inspections and reporting.
  • Assist engineers with other routine tasks.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program.
  • Successfully completed at least two semesters of coursework.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above.
