About the position

Trex Company, the world's number one decking and railing brand, is excited to announce its 2025 Summer Internship Program in Marketing. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the marketing field while working closely with our dynamic marketing team. As a Marketing Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and execution of various marketing campaigns and content creation initiatives. You will also assist in managing our social media platforms, ensuring that our online presence aligns with our brand values and marketing strategies. Throughout the internship, you will be involved in creating and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns that resonate with our target audience. You will help manage our social media platforms, contributing to content creation that engages our followers and promotes our products. Additionally, you will support the team in executing marketing campaigns across our digital properties, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that our marketing efforts are aligned with the overall business goals of Trex Company. As part of your responsibilities, you will assist in tracking marketing performance metrics and preparing reports that provide insights into the effectiveness of our campaigns. You will also be available to fulfill ad-hoc marketing initiatives and provide regular status updates to management, ensuring that all projects are on track and meeting deadlines. This internship is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the marketing landscape within a leading company in the outdoor living products industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Help manage social media platforms and assist in content creation.
  • Support the team in executing marketing campaigns on our digital properties.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business goals.
  • Assist in tracking marketing performance metrics and preparing reports.
  • Available to fulfill ad-hoc marketing initiatives and provide regular status updates to management.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited marketing, communications or related program.
  • Successfully completed at least two semesters of coursework or be an upcoming Junior or Senior with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager is a bonus.
