About the position

As an Intern at Utica National, you will engage in meaningful projects that provide a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry. The internship is designed to offer exposure to various departments, allowing you to explore different career pathways while receiving guidance from experienced supervisors. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, present findings to senior leadership, and enhance your professional skills, including résumé and LinkedIn profile development.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects that matter and contribute to the company's goals.
• Lead projects and present findings to senior leadership.
• Participate in the Leader Chat Series to gain insights into different departments and career pathways.
• Utilize communication skills in Underwriting to retain and find new business.
• Build people skills in Claims to assist customers during difficult times.
• Analyze data and develop strategies in the Actuarial department.
• Use analytical skills in Finance to support informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2026.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in the New Hartford, NY office.
