About the position

Trex Company, the world's number one decking and railing brand, is excited to announce its 2025 Summer Internship Program for Project Engineering. This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited chemical or mechanical engineering program. As an Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in an industrial environment, where you will be expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. This role will involve significant interaction with Trex engineers and production operations personnel, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field. During your internship, you will be responsible for completing AutoCAD (3D preferred) work for part design and implementation. You will also conduct equipment reviews and reliability inspections, documenting your findings and reporting them to the engineering team. Additionally, you will assist engineers with various routine tasks, gaining insight into the daily operations and challenges faced in the engineering department. This internship is not only a chance to apply your academic knowledge but also to develop practical skills that will be invaluable in your future career. Responsibilities

  • Complete AutoCAD (3D preferred) work for part design and implementation.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited chemical or mechanical engineering program.
  • Successfully completed at least two semesters of coursework.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above.
