The purpose of this internship is to prepare the electrical engineer student for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The Internship program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. Our ALT (Advanced Location Solutions) is focused on enterprise asset visibility and tracking using RFID, UWB and other IOT technologies. We have RFID, UWB and BLE based solutions that help enterprises of the world track items that are equipped with RFID passive tags or BT beacon. The NFL uses our technology to track players in the field and provides real-time stats based on our solution. Come join us in Summer 2025! You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge! This is a hybrid internship located in Holtsville, New York. The expectation is at least 3 days of in-office attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and be involved in ongoing projects.
  • Learn Zebra's ALT products and their functions.
  • Assist in schematic capture and documentation of electrical details.
  • Gain familiarity with Cadence schematic capture tools.
  • Gain familiarity with digital measurement equipment, e.g. Oscilloscope in a design environment.
  • Participate in program team meetings to understand product designs and team collaboration.
  • Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Increase technology knowledge and skills.
  • Develop team-based work proficiencies.
  • Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow-up activities.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must have a status of Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior while in undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date between 2026-2028.
  • Must have theoretical knowledge of electrical concepts.
  • Must have exposure with college/university lab equipment, e.g. Oscilloscope, bench power supply, multimeter, function generator.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
