About the position

The internship at Zebra Technologies is designed to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a comprehensive understanding of various functions within the organization. Interns will gain hands-on experience in core engineering for Mobile Computing, focusing on developing software services that empower Zebra's mobile computers and solutions. This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days a week onsite in Holtsville, NY, and offers opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and exposure to different business areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
  • Increase technology knowledge and skills
  • Develop team-based work proficiencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow-up activities
  • Work on Voice AI / Voice Enablement project
  • Build Voice Enablement services for Zebra and Customer applications
  • Empower Mobile computers and Zebra solutions with AI-enabled voice
  • Build an intelligent framework to manage audio interfaces between asynchronous systems
  • Study advanced use cases for enterprise assistants
  • Build a cost-optimized solution for AI assistant functions

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or a graduate program in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a PhD in Computer Science/Computer Engineering
  • Anticipated graduation date between May 2025 to Dec 2026 for undergraduates, or graduation dates between 2025 and 2027 for graduate students, and for PhD students with graduation dates between 2025 and 2029
  • Experience with programming languages and tools such as Android, JavaScript, Node JS, Spring Boot, React, Angular, ADB
  • Knowledge of Databases
  • Understanding of HTTP & REST
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to work in the Holtsville, NY office a minimum of three days a week
