About the position

The internship at Zebra Technologies is designed to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a comprehensive understanding of various functions within the organization. Interns will gain hands-on experience in Technical Product Management, bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, and overseeing product development from conception to launch. This role offers opportunities for training, mentorship, and exposure to all parts of the business, aimed at helping interns envision a fulfilling career with Zebra.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage external vendors or partners that provide Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity solutions.
  • Evaluate existing Wi-Fi/Bluetooth feature sets to identify opportunities for product cost optimization and feature deprecation.
  • Collect feedback from customers and users about Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity issues to inform future product updates and enhancements.
  • Conduct market and customer assessments on Wi-Fi7 and Bluetooth connectivity solutions for new product features.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to gather, analyze, and act on data related to user behavior and connectivity performance.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of a product from concept and development to launch and post-launch optimization, including defining product requirements and handling backlogs.
  • Understand system architecture related to connectivity solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud components.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or a graduate degree program in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or MBA.
  • Anticipated graduation date between May 2025-December 2026 for undergraduate programs and 2025-2026 for graduate programs/MBA programs.
  • Prior internship experience in Product Lifecycle management for products involving hardware, software, and cloud components is highly desired.
  • Authorization to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in the Holtsville, NY office a minimum of three days a week.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical understanding of wireless technology including Wi-Fi/Bluetooth technology.
  • Knowledge of system design, integrations, and how products fit within a broader ecosystem or platform.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams such as engineering, design, sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills.
