About the position

The Video Editor Internship with the Waterloo Bucks offers a hands-on opportunity to engage in video production operations during the baseball season. Interns will work closely with the General Manager and Video Production Manager, participating in all home games and various events at Riverfront Stadium. This role is designed for individuals looking to gain practical experience in video editing and production within a sports environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in video production operations for all Bucks home games and events at Riverfront Stadium.
  • Set up and tear down video equipment for each game.
  • Integrate video content into the in-house LED video board production.
  • Create and edit daily highlight videos for the website, social media, and pre-game broadcasts.
  • Update and edit individual player and team video clips for the LED video board.
  • Assist with the setup of Synergy cameras.
  • Operate cameras during Bucks home games.
  • Collaborate with the game promotions staff during home games.
  • Cross-train as a Camera Director and Computer to serve as backup for both positions.
  • Assist in guerilla marketing efforts throughout the Cedar Valley.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to advertisers and fans.

Requirements

  • Availability to work all Bucks home games and additional events.
  • Ability to complete training provided by Northwoods League prior to the season.
  • Basic knowledge of video production and editing techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with video editing software.
  • Familiarity with camera operation and setup.
  • Interest in sports marketing and promotions.
