About the position
The 2025 Supply Chain Manufacturing Intern position at Land O'Lakes Inc. offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the Feed Manufacturing industry, specifically within the Animal Nutrition sector. Interns will engage in leadership training and work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate and drive performance improvements in manufacturing processes. The internship includes a rotation through various facility processes, followed by project development where interns will analyze and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste. This role serves as a stepping stone for future leadership opportunities within the company.
Responsibilities
- Rotate through various manufacturing processes to gain foundational knowledge.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in production processes.
- Analyze root causes of production downtime and propose solutions.
- Implement changes that positively impact manufacturing operations.
- Network with leadership teams to understand safety, quality, and efficiency metrics.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in feed science, animal science, industrial engineering, ag business, supply chain and operations, milling science, manufacturing, agriculture, or related majors.
- Sophomore or Junior undergraduates preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in school, academic, or industry-related activities.
- Ability to relocate during the May - August 2024 timeframe.
