About the position
The Technical Sales Internship at Trane Technologies offers a hands-on opportunity for students to explore a career in technical sales within the HVAC industry. This 12-week program is designed to develop participants' technical, business, sales engineering, leadership, and communication skills while providing insight into the sales process and customer interactions. Interns will work closely with experienced Sales Account Managers and gain exposure to various aspects of Trane Technologies' operations, including Service, Equipment, and Building Automation.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with industry-leading Sales Account Managers and customers.
- Understand the design, application, and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
- Attend sales meetings, business functions, and customer meetings alongside experienced account managers and mentors.
- Gain hands-on experience in the sales process from start to finish on a job.
- Create a sense of ownership and importance in the solution-making process by being a daily point-of-contact for customers.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, or Engineering.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months and provide proof of insurance.
