About the position

The Technical Sales Intern position at Trane Technologies is a 12-week summer internship designed for students pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering. This role provides an opportunity to explore a career in Technical Sales, focusing on building efficiency and sustainability through HVAC equipment and building management controls. Interns will gain hands-on experience, develop essential skills, and work closely with experienced Sales Account Managers and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with industry-leading Sales Account Managers and customers.
  • Understand the design, application, and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
  • Attend sales meetings, business functions, and customer meetings alongside experienced account managers and mentors.
  • Gain hands-on experience in the sales process from start to finish on a job.
  • Create a sense of ownership and importance in the solution-making process by being a daily point-of-contact for customers.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering (open to all engineering areas of emphasis).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months and provide proof of insurance.
