About the position

The Technology & Cybersecurity Development Program at Comerica is a highly structured two-year rotation program designed for recent graduates embarking on their careers in Technology and Cybersecurity. This program aims to cultivate the next generation of technical leaders by providing hands-on experience through active projects that directly influence project outcomes. Participants will engage in identifying and recommending enhancements to existing processes and procedures while gaining exposure to innovative technologies and understanding the impact of technology and cybersecurity on both internal business units and external clients. The program consists of three eight-month rotations across various departments within Technology and Cybersecurity. This structure is intended to equip participants with a solid foundation to progress into roles of increasing complexity and responsibility. During each rotation, participants will have the opportunity to explore new technologies through interactions with leaders and peers, as well as through dedicated training sessions. Departments involved in the program include Business Information Office, Data Engineering, Enterprise Platform Engineering, Enterprise Security, Office of the Chief Technology Officer, and Technology Shared Services. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be placed in a position that aligns with their background, experience, and performance during the program, as well as the needs of the Technology & Cybersecurity organizations. This program not only enhances technical skills but also fosters strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels, including senior leadership, and provides a platform for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong working relationships with all levels of colleagues including senior leadership
  • Participate in projects, journeys, and operational activities
  • Identify, evaluate, and determine areas of risk and mitigation tactics
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to existing processes/procedures
  • Present rotation highlights to leaders across Technology and Cybersecurity at the end of each rotation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, I/O Engineering, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Management, or Cybersecurity
  • 3.0 GPA overall grade point average
  • 1 year of experience leading or participating in group projects
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Applicants must have indefinite employment authorization.
