About the position

The Operations Coordinator for the 2025 U.S. Open will assist in the operational planning, organization, and execution of facility construction and logistics for the championship. This entry-level role involves working closely with senior directors and managers to ensure the successful setup and teardown of championship equipment, manage vendor relationships, and oversee the recruitment and management of interns.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the operational planning and execution of facility construction and logistics for the 2025 U.S. Open Championship.
  • Work with senior directors and managers to execute the setup, teardown, removal, and restoration of championship equipment and materials.
  • Manage shared folder for championship vendors' information and planning, including construction timelines and operational spreadsheets.
  • Serve as a primary championship contact for vendor groups and assist with on-site vendor management.
  • Assist in developing quarterly financial projections and manage the invoicing and billback process.
  • Coordinate the setup for Championship staff arrivals and manage the U.S. Open Field Operations office on-site.
  • Oversee the recruitment and daily management of approximately 25 interns from February to July 2025.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate efficiently with a wide variety of individuals and work in a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and work ethic.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities concurrently.
  • Demonstrate ability to follow and execute detailed plans and provide logical solutions.
  • Ability to manage staff/interns through delegating tasks and ensuring task completion.
  • College education and above average knowledge of computers required.
  • Strong written, budgeting, and negotiating skills.
