About the position

The 2025 Underwriter Internship Program at Everest Global Services, Inc. offers an exciting opportunity for students to gain exposure to the Property & Casualty Reinsurance and Insurance sectors. This 10-week program, running from June 2 to August 8, 2025, allows interns to apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios while receiving training and networking opportunities with industry experts. Interns will support underwriting teams in various tasks, enhancing their understanding of the underwriting process and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Support casualty and property teams in the day-to-day underwriting process.
• Assist in the pre-qualification of deals and provide summaries to the underwriting team.
• Classify all submissions received, quoted, declined, etc., for reporting and data analytics.
• Shadow underwriters for information gathering and exposure analysis.
• Monitor rate change reports and account tracking reports.
• Participate in leader-led events and collaborate on cross-functional group projects.

Requirements

• Currently a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Leadership or involvement in extracurricular activities, campus clubs/organizations, or community service.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and priorities.
