About the position

Adobe is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer who will leverage AI and ML techniques to tackle big-data challenges, enhancing the customer experience across various platforms. This role involves collaborating with different business units to develop products that address complex business issues throughout the customer lifecycle, from analytics to marketing optimization. The engineer will utilize statistical and econometric methods, predictive modeling, experimental design, and optimization techniques to work on innovative projects such as attribution, media mix modeling, budget optimization, personalization, causal analysis, and time series analysis. The ideal candidate will have a robust academic background and technical expertise in applied statistics, machine learning, analytics, and software development, with a preference for experience in handling large-scale datasets. In this position, you will be responsible for developing predictive models on large datasets to solve various business problems using statistical modeling, machine learning, and analytics techniques. You will implement scalable algorithms capable of processing large-scale data in production systems and collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to create new products and features. Your work will involve processing multimodal content (text, image, video) and enhancing it with advanced technologies such as Large Language Models, embeddings, and transformers. Additionally, you will apply data-mining and machine learning techniques to improve ranking and recommendations within the search workflow, build a real-time platform for ranking billions of assets, and maintain and optimize the search engine while developing new features to enhance search relevance and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop predictive models on large-scale datasets to address various business problems using statistical modeling, ML, and analytics techniques.
  • Implement scalable and efficient modeling algorithms that can process large-scale data in production systems.
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to develop new products and features.
  • Work on the search algorithm, behavioral data processing, and ML rankers at scale.
  • Process multimodal (Text, Image, Video) content and enrich it with innovative technologies like Large Language Models, Embeddings, and Transformers.
  • Apply data-mining and ML techniques to elevate the ranking and recommendations within the search workflow.
  • Build a real-time platform for ranking billions of images, documents, and assets.
  • Maintain and optimize the search engine, develop new features, and assess solutions for search relevance, recommendations, user experience, performance, and feasibility.

Requirements

  • PhD or MS degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Operations Research, Econometrics, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2+ years of experience in the field.
  • Vast knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, or analytics concepts with shown problem-solving abilities using these techniques.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, and C.
  • Familiarity with machine learning or statistical modeling tools such as R, Matlab, and scikit learn.
  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Previous experience in ML, NLP, Search, recommendation systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with large-scale data techniques.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
