About the position

The Bioprocess Technology Solutions Co-op position is part of the Future Talent Program, offering a 4-6 month cooperative education experience within the Animal Health Division. This role focuses on bioprocess and biotechnology development, vaccine formulation, and problem-solving, contributing to the efficient production of veterinary vaccines. Co-ops will work as integrated team members, engaging in research and development efforts that ensure robust and cost-effective manufacturing processes. The position emphasizes collaboration, communication, and a commitment to team goals, providing an opportunity for professional growth in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurate data recording and interpretation of results.
• Experimental set-up techniques in a laboratory setting.
• Adherence to safe lab practices.

Requirements

• Must have completed Junior year towards a Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Veterinary Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Protein Chemistry, Microbiology or Biotechnology by May 2025.
• Strong academic performance in scientific coursework.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Basic laboratory techniques knowledge, preferably in virology and bacteriology.
• General computer skills and ability to keep accurate records.
