About the position

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and include participation in one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Labs can provide you with great hands-on experience and offer a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. We are currently recruiting summer interns within the Infectious Diseases and Vaccines group. The interns will work with scientists developing medicines and vaccines for the treatment or prevention of viral or bacterial diseases using innovative strategies and cutting-edge technologies. These internships are best suited to candidates with a background and interest in virology, microbiology, biochemistry and/or immunology. Candidates must be currently pursuing a minimum of a bachelor's degree in biology or related major. Candidates must have experience with laboratory techniques applicable to molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, or biochemistry such as cell culture, transfection, bacterial handling, ELISAs, PCR, protein analysis, or DNA/RNA manipulation. Candidates must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Candidates must be available to work in-person full-time for up to 12 weeks beginning in May or June of 2025. Experience with immunological techniques such as ELISPOT, flow cytometry, or immunostaining or alternatively, experience with virology or bacterial genetics techniques is preferred. Candidates should have experience with molecular biology software (e.g., DNASTAR) and/or graphing software (e.g., GraphPad Prism). Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education. Expected salary range: $39,600.00-$105,500.00.
