About the position

The Threat Intelligence Analyst Internship at Activision Blizzard offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in open-source intelligence (OSINT) research, data collection, and threat assessment. Interns will work closely with a small team to analyze external threats to the Call of Duty franchise, utilizing covert research practices and social engineering techniques. This role is designed for those who are passionate about the gaming industry and eager to contribute to the security of beloved entertainment franchises.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and collection techniques.
  • Conduct covert research and social engineering to gather intelligence.
  • Analyze threat actor behavior and conduct threat assessments.
  • Organize and report data collected from various sources.
  • Build and maintain social network analysis charts related to current threats.
  • Provide daily and weekly updates to game security teams regarding threat actor activities.
  • Identify leads and build profiles on known threat actors through open-source research.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an associates, bachelors, masters, or PhD and graduating December 2025 - July 2026.
  • Available to participate in a 12-week internship starting in late-May or mid-June.
  • Currently residing in the US or open to relocating to the US.
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets for data organization and analysis.
  • Experience with high volume of open-source information/data collection and reporting.
  • Training or experience in conducting social network analysis.
  • Training or experience in social engineering and threat actor behavioral analysis.
  • Training or experience in conducting threat assessments.
  • Understanding of handling sensitive information and need-to-know protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on team projects and independently.

  • Experience with link analysis tools or SQL databases.
