About the position

Our client, a family-owned company, is seeking an eCommerce Marketing Analyst. This position is responsible for managing an existing portfolio of items on eCommerce platforms including Amazon and also help to identify, create, and launch new products. You will be responsible for market research, competitive landscape analysis, and viability assessments. Working with our sourcing team to build, obtain, and document product costing, specifications, and testing requirements. This position works in a collaborative team environment, synchronizing with the social media and graphic design team for the creation of new creative content. We will utilize conversion rates, CTR (Click Thru Rate), and track unit sales to help determine success. Due to the nature of eCommerce, timelines frequently change based on external needs and availability. This person should be adaptable and able to shift gears quickly. As part of a team, you will illustrate an intimate understanding of product knowledge, competitive landscape, category, and consumer behavior trends to position product appropriately. This position is in St. Louis, MO (south county area) and is in office Monday-Thursday with Fridays working remotely. The salary range is $60,000-$75,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an existing portfolio of items on eCommerce platforms including Amazon.
  • Identify, create, and launch new products.
  • Conduct market research and competitive landscape analysis.
  • Perform viability assessments for new products.
  • Collaborate with the sourcing team to document product costing, specifications, and testing requirements.
  • Work with Product Managers, digital media, and Social Teams to create marketing assets.
  • Adhere to the VIKING style guide for branding consistency.
  • Analyze competitive products and packaging regularly.
  • Evaluate competitive PDP content and videos for insights.
  • Utilize Brand Analytics to drive data-based decisions and recommendations.
  • Deeply understand Amazon's policies and guidelines for product listings.
  • Deploy updates to product detail pages (PDP).
  • Gain actionable insights through A/B Testing.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business, or equivalent field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in product development, marketing, account management, or project management.
  • Experience in competitive analysis for at least 1 year.
  • Ability to demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and a flexible mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Car/Automotive knowledge is preferred.
