About the position

The Senior Business Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in business enablement for Project & Portfolio Management as well as Visualization applications. This position requires a strong understanding of SAAS technologies and the ability to leverage technical skills to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and analytical skills, enabling them to effectively collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions. The role demands a results-oriented mindset, with a focus on data-driven performance measurement and the interpersonal skills necessary to build trust and alignment among stakeholders. In this position, the Senior Business Systems Analyst will act as a strategic partner to the business, ensuring alignment with business groups on strategic vision and priorities. They will serve as the liaison between business and technology, understanding the technological capabilities required to support business needs. The analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining a technology roadmap for the Project & Program Management pod, proactively communicating and collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure that technology solutions align with business objectives. The responsibilities include leading business requirements gathering sessions, analyzing key business processes, and understanding system integrations, reporting, and data flow. The analyst will drive innovation and efficiency by implementing new business processes through technology solutions, working closely with technical leads and developers to translate business requirements into effective technology designs. Additionally, they will manage change management processes, create user manuals and training documents, and conduct user training to ensure smooth implementation of changes. The role also involves supporting business users with system configuration and troubleshooting system issues, as well as participating in the product development and release lifecycle to ensure timely delivery of new features and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a strategic partner of the business by keeping alignment with business groups on strategic vision and business priorities then be the liaison between business and technology.
  • Understand technology capabilities required to support business needs.
  • Develop and maintain a technology roadmap for the Project & Program Mgmt. pod by proactively communicating and collaborating with business stakeholders.
  • Lead business requirements gathering sessions and analyze key business processes and requirements.
  • Understand business process, issues, use cases, requirements, system integrations, reporting and data flow in depth.
  • Drive innovations and efficiency by implementing new business processes through technology solutions.
  • Work closely with technical lead and developers to translate business requirements into technology design and solution.
  • Work with business users to document, manage, and prioritize bug fixings and enhancements.
  • Manage change management and training.
  • Create user manuals and training documents.
  • Conduct user trainings and drive smooth and efficient implementation of changes.
  • Create support documentation from how to's run books, policy documents to support our service offerings.
  • Support business users on system configuration, admin and other business activities.
  • Identify system issues and troubleshoot / analyze potential solutions including workarounds.
  • Support product development and release lifecycle by working with technical lead and developers to test and release new system functions to ensure on time delivery of new product and features including assisting with new releases and approving all User Acceptance Testing.
  • Participate in sprint planning and other team rituals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years with SAAS technologies used by internal employees.
  • Experience in establishing effective business partnerships within and outside the organization.
  • Highly responsive with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and juggle multiple deadlines and projects, and keep peers, partners, and supervisor abreast of activities.
  • Proficiency in leading user interviews, requirements gathering, creating, maintaining and supporting all application development artifacts including user stories, process flows, screen mockups, data diagrams, business rule definitions, design documents and reporting scripts.
  • Strong analytical and system design skills, problem-solving skills, and a track record of seeing tasks through to successful completion.
  • Experience working in a technical environment and able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent Problem solving, analytical mind, attention to detail and investigative skills.
  • Experience working with self-service support tools in a high growth company to promote shift-left initiatives to move information and help from support staff to self-service knowledge repositories.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in computer science or engineering preferred.
  • MBA degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in an IT environment supporting Enterprise SAAS Applications.
  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization with minimal supervision.
