About the position
As a Data Analyst at Barksdale Federal Credit Union, you will play a crucial role in interpreting various forms of data and presenting it in a valuable and easy-to-understand manner. This position is based in the Admin branch and is not a remote position. You will be responsible for analyzing data sets, creating reports, and utilizing various reporting tools to provide insights that drive decision-making within the organization. Your expertise in data visualization and reporting will be essential in helping stakeholders understand complex data and trends. You will work closely with other departments to gather requirements and ensure that the data presented meets their needs. Additionally, you will be involved in creating ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks to streamline data processing and reporting workflows. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Interpret various forms of data and present it in a valuable and easy-to-understand manner.
- Create reports using various reporting tools such as MS Report Builder, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Develop ETL or ELT tasks to facilitate data processing.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather data requirements and ensure reporting meets their needs.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, C#, or Java to enhance data analysis capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- At least five years of related experience and/or training in data analysis.
- Experience creating reports using reporting tools such as MS Report Builder, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with ETL or ELT processes.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, C#, or Java.
