About the position

The Microsoft Architect/Systems Administrator at ARSIEM Corporation will support a government client in Laurel, MD, focusing on the design and implementation of Microsoft architectures. This role involves hands-on systems integration and administration, particularly in a lab environment for cybersecurity training and simulation. The position requires collaboration with mission operators and developers to devise innovative solutions to complex problems, as well as performing systems engineering tasks to enhance cybersecurity mission success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Microsoft architecture design and build to satisfy replication of customer Microsoft architectures.
  • Provide hands-on Systems Integration and Systems Administration in support of Lab Environment to include Cyber Range activities used for operator training and customer environment simulation.
  • Work closely with mission operators and developers to provide innovative solutions to difficult problems.
  • Perform a variety of systems engineering tasks centered on technical problem solving, requirements specification, process development, risk analysis, and solutions design to advance cybersecurity mission success.
  • Assist with identifying requirements and designing future iterations of the primary analytic systems.
  • Identify new and existing products, technologies, and/or architectures to solve design, development, and operational problems.
  • Develop automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
  • An Associate's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 13 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
  • Degree must be in either professional Engineering, Physics, or Astronomy from an accredited college or a relevant professional technical field (e.g. chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, geology).

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $160,000 - $179,000 per year.
