About the position

The 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Teacher at BEE Center is responsible for instructing young students within the curriculum plan adopted by the Racine Unified School District. This role involves actively participating in professional activities, maintaining classroom control, and ensuring the proper use of school property. The teacher will also prepare lesson plans, communicate with parents, and manage student supervision both inside and outside the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students according to the curriculum plan adopted by the Board.
• Participate actively in committees related to planning, research, and curriculum.
• Attend building and District faculty meetings as part of responsibilities.
• Supervise and care for all furniture, books, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain classroom control to create the best learning environment.
• Manage and supervise all students in the school, including specific assignments outside the classroom.
• Open and close school sessions punctually as designated by the Board.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the Board within jurisdiction.
• Observe pupils to identify defects hindering successful work and report to the principal.
• Prepare lesson plans, records, and reports as required by the principal.

Requirements

• Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching license.
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Classroom experience, preferably with young children.
