Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in advertising/public relations, such as MCJ 40: Introduction to Advertising and Public Relations.
• Prepare and deliver lectures, conduct office hours, and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams.
• Ensure all classes meet as scheduled throughout the semester in the assigned mode (in-person, asynchronous, synchronous, or hybrid).
• Adhere to university and system-wide policies as directed per the Academic Policy Manual.
• Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in media, communication, journalism, or a related field with an emphasis in advertising and/or public relations/strategic communications.
• Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Nice-to-haves

• A PhD or MFA in media, communication, journalism, or similar with an emphasis in advertising and/or public relations/strategic communication.
• A commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, evidenced through prior teaching experiences and evaluations.
• Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
