The Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual for the position of Executive Director of The Office of Youth Re-Engagement for the 2024-2025 school year. This role is pivotal in leading the Office of Youth Re-Engagement, which is dedicated to designing, implementing, and sustaining student-centered programs aimed at supporting Opportunity Youth. This includes justice-involved youth, those who have left the education system before earning a high school diploma, and youth who are significantly off-track towards graduation. The Executive Director will collaborate closely with district staff and community partners to create and execute a bold strategy that ensures all Opportunity Youth are on a path towards a degree and a thriving future. The Executive Director will be responsible for driving the alignment of internal work streams connected to Opportunity Youth across the central office, strengthening partnerships with city, county, and community agencies, and leading a diverse team towards achieving the goals aligned with the team's strategy and vision. This position requires a strong commitment to advancing racial equity and justice in education, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve common goals. In addition to program design and management, the Executive Director will oversee the monitoring and improvement of alternative programs, facilitate student discipline issues, and manage inquiries and grievances from students, staff, and parents. The role also involves designing and facilitating professional development for staff, ensuring that the team is equipped to meet the diverse needs of students.
