About the position

We are currently seeking dedicated School Psychologists to join our team in a supportive school district near Vallejo, CA. This position is full-time and will span the 2024-2025 school year, providing an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of elementary school students. The role requires a commitment to working 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and involves managing a caseload of elementary school students. As a School Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing counseling, and collaborating with teachers and parents to support student success. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to address the social, emotional, and academic needs of students, ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive in their educational environment. The position is set to begin on August 19, 2024, and will conclude on June 12, 2025. Candidates must possess an active California School Psychologist State License and a Master's Degree in School Psychology or a related field. Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students.
  • Provide counseling and support to students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop intervention strategies.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Provide training and support to school staff on mental health issues and strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments and interventions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1+ years of school psychologist experience required.
  • Active California School Psychologist State License is required.
  • Master's Degree in School Psychology or a similar degree.
