About the position

The Classroom Teacher for World Language - Spanish is responsible for creating a safe and intellectually stimulating learning environment for students. This role involves engaging students in meaningful activities, utilizing knowledge of adolescent development, and employing various instructional methods to cater to a diverse student population. The teacher will also collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and the community to enhance the educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and provide instruction using a variety of methods and resources appropriate for all learners.
• Create and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess student learning using a variety of appropriate formal and informal methods.
• Keep and maintain required records.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, the community, and other agencies to foster student learning.
• Connect academic knowledge to real-life situations.
• Engage in professional development activities.
• Demonstrate professional knowledge.
• Perform other duties stated in Board policies and/or state statutes.

Requirements

• Possess an Arizona Secondary Teaching Certificate.
• Possess a Bachelor's degree.
• Have an awareness of student needs, including at-risk, ethnic, limited English proficient, and exceptional students.
• Have Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training or be available for staff development.
