About The Position

The Retail Work Experience Trainee is a temporary position designed to provide participants with hands-on experience in retail operations. This role focuses on learning essential tasks and skills necessary for success in the retail environment, with opportunities to engage with customers and maintain store standards. Participants will work at various sites, gaining unique experiences while adhering to safety and operational guidelines.

Requirements

• No prior experience or training required.
• Punctual and dependable attendance is essential.
• Must be free from alcohol and drug abuse.
• Ability to understand and support Goodwill's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and engage with each customer in a friendly manner.
• Follow all safety rules and exercise caution in work-related activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to social distancing and personal protective equipment policies.
• Receive and accurately record donations using technology.
• Sort, clean, and stock merchandise on the selling floor according to company standards.
• Merchandise and maintain the sales floor to meet established standards and guidelines.
• Load and unload trucks as needed.
• Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.
• Perform necessary janitorial work as assigned.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
