About the position

The Linux System Administrator at InterImage, Inc. is responsible for supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems for critical enterprise applications. This role involves managing IT system infrastructure, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, and ensuring the integrity and performance of UNIX and Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems for critical enterprise applications.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and processes related to these systems.
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client, server, storage, and network devices.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

• TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
• A bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of experience as a system administrator, or fifteen (15) years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• In-depth Linux experience.
• Familiarity with PowerShell and Bash scripting languages.
• Experience with system hardening and compliance with ISSOs.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite.
