About the position

The Maintenance Technician role at Aerotek involves performing maintenance and repair tasks on various systems and equipment within an ink manufacturing facility. The technician will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with building construction and remodeling projects. This position requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) to ensure proper operation of machinery and equipment.
• Assist and serve as backup to the maintenance mechanic in installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Inspect and test machinery and equipment for proper operation.
• Dismantle defective components and install new or repair parts.
• Assist with the design and installation of major equipment or building structures.
• Conduct various building construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects.
• Fabricate projects out of wood or metal using welders, cutting saws, and grinders.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Mechanical knowledge including understanding of voltages from 120V to 480V 3 phase.
• Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
