Responsibilities

  • Aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality products by means of transferring, cleaning, painting, and related activities.
  • Operate, monitor and inspect assembly machines, tools, dip tanks, paint lines, impregnators, and other related equipment.
  • Pack, inspect, prepare for shipment/transfer all products and/or material as necessary.
  • Follow proper safety procedures and wear prescribed safety equipment.
  • Report neatly and accurately work performed, findings or results of inspections, and time and materials used.
  • Maintain work area in neat and clean condition and assure that materials and tools are returned to proper storage.
  • Report immediately to Supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure of plant equipment.
  • Actively participate in SRP, VPDS, and any other Company initiative designed to improve workplace efficiency.
  • Inspect castings visually and dimensionally, perform necessary tests and random audits.
  • Operate all associated grinding equipment, conveying equipment, cleaning, pressing, buffing, and associated machines.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate and monitor assembly machines and tools.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to report findings accurately and maintain work area cleanliness.
  • Willingness to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift and on weekends as needed.
