About the position

The 2nd Grade Teacher at Carter Elementary School is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering instructional programs based on the approved curriculum for K-5 students. The role involves monitoring and evaluating student progress, maintaining records, enforcing school policies, and supervising students to ensure a conducive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and deliver the program of instruction based on approved curriculum.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and communicate student progress.
  • Maintain records and make reports regarding student performance.
  • Enforce Board policies, regulations, and rules.
  • Supervise students and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Secure and maintain school property and materials.

Requirements

  • Kentucky certification appropriate to the grade level and curricular assignment (K-5).
  • Experience and preparation required by the Board.
