2nd Shift Back Up Machine Operator/ Metal Detector- Sanford, NC

About the position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Responsibilities

• Operate the machines in the Corn / Flour department.
• Closely monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments.
• Promptly report any issues to the supervisor or lead.
• Maintain various log sheets.
• Document and calculate results accurately.
• Take corrective action when necessary.
• Report results to management.
• Complete any additional assignments requested.

Requirements

• 3 months work history with the same employer.
• Must be willing and able to perform physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems.
• Must be able to work in warm temperatures ranging from 65-90 degrees, wet and humid conditions, and on slippery concrete floors.
• Must be able to work in environments with airborne particles and noise levels that require hearing protection.
