About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitorial Cleaning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various environments, including commercial and residential spaces. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Cleaning Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all facilities are well-kept, safe, and welcoming for clients and employees alike.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and stripping floors to ensure they are well-maintained and presentable.
• Execute custodial duties in commercial settings, adhering to established cleaning protocols.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and operational.
• Carry out janitorial cleaning duties in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cleaning operations and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Attention to detail while working at a highly productive rate of cleaning.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks throughout the day.
• A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean environment for both staff and clients.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of residential painting techniques is considered an asset but not required.
