About the position

As a 2nd Shift Concierge at Resort Lifestyle Communities, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and hospitality to our Residents and Guests. This position is crucial in creating a welcoming and positive environment within our brand-new Carolina Pines Retirement Community, set to open in Greensboro, NC in the fall of 2024. Your primary responsibility will be to serve from the heart, ensuring that every interaction leaves a lasting impression. You will be passionate about hospitality, safety, and security, and your goal will be to foster a happy atmosphere for everyone you encounter. In this role, you will work from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Thursday through Monday, and you will enjoy a complimentary meal during your shift. Additionally, you will have access to your earned income through OnDemand Pay, providing you with financial flexibility. The company offers a monthly stipend of $592 that can be applied towards various benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and more. You will also receive paid holidays and vacation time, along with a 401(k) plan that features a generous employer match. Your responsibilities will include interacting with Residents and Guests, answering phone calls, assisting with marketing and administrative tasks, helping with events, and providing support in the dining room during peak meal times. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Anticipating the needs of Residents, Guests, and Team Members will be essential, as will monitoring and responding to emergencies, including the resident emergency call system and fire alarm panel. While this position is not in the medical field, you must be comfortable contacting emergency personnel when necessary. Responsibilities

  • Assist Residents and Guests with inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Answer phone calls and manage communications effectively.
  • Support marketing and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist with events and activities within the community.
  • Provide assistance in the dining room during peak meal times.
  • Perform assorted cleaning duties to maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, creating a positive first impression.
  • Anticipate the needs of Residents, Guests, and Team Members, including vendor deliveries.
  • Monitor and respond to emergencies, including the resident emergency call system and fire alarm panel.
  • Call emergency personnel when appropriate and necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Maintain a current driver license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Ability to move tables and furniture periodically and lift approximately 25 pounds.
  • Independent problem-solver with the ability to de-escalate critical situations.
  • Strong desire to serve seniors and positively impact their lives.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while projecting a resort-like image.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of the local community, area, and region preferred.
  • Previous work experience in customer service or hospitality.

  • Experience in a senior living or hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with emergency response protocols.
