About the position
The Deli WOG Parts Cutter position at Lincoln Premium Poultry involves operating manufacturing equipment to meet production goals while ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The role requires teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment.
Responsibilities
- Take direction from Supervisor or lead to accomplish set production goals.
- Operate manufacturing equipment to increase production efficiency.
- Perform repetitive tasks including handling unfinished and finished products, boxing and packaging, and transporting products to and from the production line.
- Inspect products for quality and defects, adjusting machine settings as needed.
- Clean and sanitize workstations and dispose of trash and refuse.
- Utilize small hand tools, meat scissors, and knives as required.
- Assist in training co-workers as directed.
- Ensure compliance with established food safety programs, including HACCP, SSOPs, and GMPs.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Effectively communicate and positively interact with team members in all departments.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment ranging from 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes in production needs.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to pass required physical including demonstrating the ability to lift the required weight for each position.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for the entire 8-hour shift.
- Must wear correct job-specific PPE as designated by company policy.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment preferred.
- Experience working with knives preferred.
