About the position

The Electronic Test Technician position involves performing electronic testing on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and ensuring quality assurance on electronic components. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the manufacturing team. The technician will utilize precision measuring instruments and automated optical inspection tools to conduct tests and document results, contributing to the overall quality control of electronic products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electronic testing on PCBs using precision measuring instruments and automated optical inspection.
  • Conduct quality inspections and assurance on electronic components, ensuring adherence to IPC 610 standards.
  • Utilize test automation tools for data collection and analysis, identifying and resolving any issues through debugging.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure proper assembly of electronic components, utilizing hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to surface mount technology and quality control.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Utilize computer skills to document test results, generate reports, and communicate any findings to the relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree / 2 year Technical Degree or equivalent experience (required)
  • 1-2 years experience in manufacturing testing (required)
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • Experience handling and testing of components
  • Knowledge of materials, tooling, and mechanical assembly skills for electronic products
  • Microscope and miniature microelectronic assembly skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written guidelines or drawings and accurately and concisely communicate testing results
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent Computer skills
  • Willingness to learn, takes initiative, and offers improvement ideas
  • Able to lift or move up to 50lbs
