The technician will also be involved in conformal coating removal and touch-ups, documenting all changes in cable assembly and rework, and initial assembly/build-up of cables per engineering drawings. The position requires soldering, crimping, and termination of wires to connectors, lugs, or terminal blocks, applying strain relief, potting, and isolation mechanisms according to the drawings, and labeling components. Performing continuity and resistance measurements, hi-pot tests, and initial assembly of modules, enclosures, and rack systems are also key responsibilities. The technician will apply proper torque to fasteners, use adhesives and thermal pads, manage cables, and maintain As-Built Lists.
