The 2nd Shift Forklift/Palletizer Operator at Henkel is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to load and unload finished goods, ensuring timely shipping to distribution centers and customers. This role involves collaborating with team members to enhance workplace efficiency and maintain a safe working environment. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and effective communication within a dynamic manufacturing setting.

  • Operate a forklift to load finished goods on trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Unload/receive shipping and palletizing supplies from inbound trailers.
  • Start-up, shut-down, change-over, and operate conveyors and palletizers.
  • Hand stack cases of product, as necessary.
  • Stage loads for outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain First In/First Out (FIFO) Material Rotation System.
  • Record product tracking information to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Inspect all incoming and outgoing paperwork for accuracy of shipment.
  • Enter data into computer and generate reports, as necessary.
  • Organize the warehouse for optimal performance.
  • Maintain housekeeping including aisle ways and storage locations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel and supervisors to prioritize tasks and fulfill material handling necessities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
  • Perform forklift battery changes, scale, and dock operation.
  • Regularly attend, listen, and participate in team meetings, shift handover discussions, and end-of-shift meetings.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have at least 2 years of Forklift Driving experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
  • Must complete internal Forklift certification within prescribed time frame.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Must have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Must have basic to intermediate computer and math skills.
  • Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Must have a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must have outstanding organizational skills.
  • Must have effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Team-based working experience is preferred.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
